For academic editing

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m an IPEd Accredited Editor, and an academic editor who specialises in editing theses and academic articles. I have edited theses by students of various universities as well as articles published by various journals, so I have experience with different styles and requirements.

I provide language editing, reference editing and formatting services for the following subject areas: creative industries; humanities (especially art, language, literature, philosophy, sociology and content related to 2SLGBTQIA+); psychology (especially content related to neurodivergence and other neurological conditions); and sports and exercise science. I also have experience editing subjects such as criminology, economics and information technology.

For fiction editing

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m an IPEd Accredited Editor, and a trained academic editor. I’m new to editing fiction, and I have relevant experience and training.

In 2021–2022, I helped an indie author publish her debut novel through IngramSpark. I provided developmental editing, copyediting, typesetting (MS Word) and proofreading services. I also edit in the genres I enjoy reading (which means I’m familiar with them); my editing skill, knowledge and experience are all transferable; and I’ve completed fiction-specific training and professional development.

I provide developmental editing, language editing, formatting and proofreading services for the following genres: adult contemporary fiction, young adult contemporary fiction, dystopian, and light fantasy and light fantasy/romance.
